Bake Sales

Bake Sales are held throughout the year to raise income for our building fund.  Delicious good baked in a state-approved kitchen are great for both eating and gifts!

Scandinavian Celebration

We want to extend a warm welcome to our Scandinavian Celebration on Saturday, November 23, 2:00-9:00.   Please note of our extended hours this year.

This is a festive event for our community to celebrate our Scandinavian and Finnish heritage.  Everyone is welcome!

Dinner will be a

Savory Nordic Beef with parsley roasted new potatoes and hearty carrots with a side of pickled beets, homemade bread and a drink. There will also be some ala cart options which may include, makkara, soup, riisipuuro, and desserts.

Our bake sale will be bursting full of bread, pullas, cookies, pies, prune tarts, cup cakes, jams, canned goods,  and so much more.

Our take and bake section will have freezers full of prune tarts, pullas,  karelan piirrakkas, and pasties.  There will also be soups in the refrigerator to take- including our famous creamy salmon soup. These take and bake options allow for you to take your favorite foods home and bake fresh at your own convenience.

The craft sale is full of Scandinavian inspired crafts.  Including: ornaments, hand towels, and advent calendars.

We will have our largest ever selection of imported candies, chocolates, mints, soft gummy candies, Turkish peppers, black licorice, and more.

As usual, we will have our import section with moomin mugs, and like last year, this selection has expanded beyond belief.  We have moomin mugs, ornaments, and hand towels. Marimekko mugs, plates, hand towels, and napkins are full of bright colors and traditional styles that will bring a little touch of Finland to your home.  New this year are shampoos and sauna oils.

The lefse booth is always full.  Our busy elves make it fresh on site.  Some like to enjoy it right at the event with cinnamon and sugar while others buy it to take home and enjoy with their favorite jam.

The coffee shop has some specialty drinks, did I hear correctly, caramel roll latte- and phenomenal desserts.

And don't forget about the beautiful Christmas Choir.  An additional program time was added this year. Welcome to listen at 3:00, 5:00  & 7:00.  It will sound like beautiful angels singing to you.
